In Pakistan, the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has launched a fresh initiative, providing a quarterly cash assistance of 10,500 rupees to eligible families enrolled in their Kafalat program. This financial aid covers the period spanning January to March 2024.

Fresh Developments from BISP:

The scheduled disbursements have been completed, paving the way for the rollout of an additional universal package. Under this scheme, individuals may receive support ranging from 2,000 to 5,000 rupees. Beneficiaries of the Income Support Program and families identified through special surveys stand to benefit, as the authorities have widened the scope of the PMT.

Previously restricted to individuals aged 25 and below, the age limit has now been extended to 40, encompassing new families who will also receive assistance through the Eid package. Those interested can apply to be part of this program, with regular updates provided. BISP remains active, with a substantial number of individuals receiving 10,500 rupees between January and March.

Online Application for Eid Package 2000:

It’s essential to clarify that no ID card application is required for the Eid package. While applications were previously submitted for the Eid package, no such requirement exists this time around. Unlike last year, where individuals could obtain their ID cards free of charge or receive two rupees in assistance through it, or engage with specific software, this process has not been implemented this year.

It is to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s special efforts by allocating of funds, poor families belonging from Punjab are eligible for free rashans, while 2,000 families from Sindh and Balochistan are covered under the Eid package. No specific procedure, link-clicking, or code-sending is necessary for this Eid package. Eligible individuals who do not receive funds will be notified via a message from 8171.

Furthermore, individuals may also expect a communication from the Benazir Income Support Program. Moreover, a sum of 5,000 rupees is earmarked exclusively for residents of Sindh, with a quota allocated for forty PMT families. The original quota of 25 has been augmented to 40, broadening the scope for the majority of Sindh’s populace to benefit from this initiative and receive financial assistance. For residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it is important to note that a relief amount of Rs. 2,000 will be extended to those in Azad Kashmir, Islamabad, Gilgit, and other regions of Sindh and Balochistan.
