Nashonuma Program by BISP

The Benazir Nashonuma program, initiated by the Benazir Income Support Program BISP, aims to provide support to pregnant women in Pakistan for their healthcare and the well-being of their babies. This program is particularly important considering the increasing prevalence of polio in the country, as it seeks to ensure the birth of healthy children who will contribute to Pakistan’s future.

Under the Benazir Nashonuma program, pregnant women receive medical treatment and are provided with a monthly aid of Rs 2,000 to support their care. Once the baby is born, the government continues to provide assistance for the baby’s treatment. Additionally, the mother receives Rs 2,000 until the child reaches the age of two years.
