Sindh’s Rs22 Billion Ramzan Relief Scheme – How Will You Benefit?

Sindh’s Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has launched the Sindh 5000 Ramzan Relief Scheme, a substantial initiative aimed at providing relief worth Rs22 billion to economically vulnerable groups across the province.

Scheme Overview

This scheme promises to provide Rs5000 cash assistance to 60% of the province’s population, which includes individuals earning the minimum wage. It is expected to benefit around 3.5 million households with a monthly income of at least Rs32,000.

Additionally, the Sindh Zakat Department will allocate Rs14,000 to support 110,000 impoverished families.

Ensuring Uninterrupted Power Supply

CM Shah has emphasized the importance of a continuous power supply during Sehr and Iftar throughout Sindh. He has directed power companies like K-Electric, Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO), and Sukkur Electric Supply Company (SEPCO) to ensure consistent electricity provision during Ramadan.

Addressing Inflation and Ensuring Fair Pricing

To tackle inflation and ensure access to essential goods, the Chief Minister has stressed the need to crack down on hoarders and profiteers across the province. District administrations have been tasked with enforcing government-set prices for essential items to ensure fair deals for consumers.

Eligibility Criteria

The relief scheme is open to citizens earning the minimum wage, constituting 60% of the province’s population.

Number of Beneficiary Households

Approximately 3.5 million households with a minimum monthly income of Rs32,000 are expected to benefit from the Ramzan Relief scheme.
