Lahore: In Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a significant meeting on Thursday to review the progress of higher education scholarships and the iPad scheme.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the briefing’s incompleteness, the chief minister urged the development of a comprehensive plan for the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) scholarships scheme.

Radio Pakistan reported that CM Maryam instructed the commencement of a student survey for both the iPad and laptop schemes, underscoring the commitment to modernize higher education and associated institutions.

She assured that the government would take further steps to meet the needs of students regarding the laptop and iPad initiatives.

The meeting saw the presence of notable figures, including former Senator Pervez Rasheed, Maryam Aurangzeb from the Provincial Assembly, Nosheen Adnan, Rana Sikandar Hayat, Chief Secretary, Chairman P&D, Secretary Finance, Secretary Higher Education, Chairman PITB, and other officials.
